Plants Re-Potting
If you decide to repot your coconut tree, remember to add sand or vermiculite to the new soil to keep the water draining well. you can transplant it into slightly bigger pot than the present pot or directly in the ground. To change the plant's pot, the plant should be removed with great care so that there is no problem with the roots.
After re-potting plant in the pot, place the plant in a shady place and regularly watering approx thrice in a weeks. which makes it easier for the plant to produce roots, and the plant starts growing rapidly. After changing the pot, keep the plant in an open place so that the plant can return to its healthy condition as soon as possible.
Plants Protection
When the leaves of the plant begin to deteriorate, Or , the plant starts to deteriorate. And if weeds are growing in the plant, then they should be removed, and throw away so that it does not come out again, it affects the growth of the plant. As a precautionary measure the planting material should be sprayed with carbendazim. Spray Copper Sulphate 1% or Cashew Nut Shell Oil 80% or spray Chlorpyriphos @ 3ml/lit of water, Neem Oil 5% or NSKE 20% to preserve plaited coconut leaves from the termite attack. Apply calcium at the base of the trunk for control of termite attack.
Do not over water it may kill your plant, If insects are found in the plant, they should be treated with neem oil or insecticide at the appropriate time. Just prune if any branch of the plant is get damaged in transits. New leaves will come definitely.
