Marigold is available in various colors and sizes ranging from diminutive little charmers to gigantic marigold varieties. Marigold is one of the most commonly grown flowers for garden decoration and is extensively used as loose flowers for making garlands for religious and social functions. It has gained popularity amongst gardeners on account of its easy culture and wide adaptability. Its habit of free flowering, short duration to produce marketable flowers, a wide spectrum of attractive colors, shape, size and good keeping quality has attracted the attention of flower growers. Marigolds are ideal for cut flowers, especially for making garlands.
They can be planted in the beds for mass display or grown in pots. The French Marigolds are suitable for hanging baskets and edging.

How To Preparation Soil
Before sowing seeds, the first step is to dig out the soil and add organic fertilizer and manure in the proportion of 50% soil,20% peat moss, or 30% vermicompost and mix the mixture well. Once the above-mentioned step is done, please moisturize the soil.
How To Sowing Seeds
Sprinkle the seeds and little water and cover the seeds with soil/ wet newspaper/ tissue. Keep on checking the soil after every two days and if you feel that the soil is getting dry then keep sprinkling water. After a week or 10 days, seeds will start germinating.
Caring Tips
When the plant grows to a height of 2” separate each plant and be careful with the soil. At the time of separation remove the plant from the soil, remember that roots should not damage. After removing plants, replant them at a gap of 4” to 5“. After replanting, water them. Within 20 days feed the plants with organic manure vermicompost and fertilizer.
